About Joeline

I am a successful business woman, with a Masters Degree in Professional Communication. I’ve worked in management, media and marketing roles with a range of organisations including NETS, the emergency helicopter service for babies and children.

While working at NETS, I met my husband, Greg, who is a doctor working at our local hospitals. Together we are raising our two young and energetic boys.

My family and I are deeply connected to our local community here on the beaches. I grew up on the Northern Beaches and attended Mater Maria College in Warriewood. Our young family lives in Manly, and I am actively involved in our surf life saving and soccer clubs in Curl Curl, and our local primary school.

I am best known for my strong record of community leadership. In 2018 I founded the Northern Beaches War on Waste environmental group. More recently, during the height of the pandemic, I co-founded Feed Our Medics, an initiative to support frontline healthcare workers by connecting them with local food providers. Feed Our Medics was such a success that it was extended to nine hospitals in Sydney.

In 2021, in recognition of my community work to support climate action and environmental protection, I was honoured to receive a Highly Commended Eco Award at the Northern Beaches Council Eco Awards.

I have a strong track record of bringing our community together to support the needs and values of our residents. I will always stand up for what is right, for greater accountability and integrity in politics, for more ambitious climate action and environmental protection, and for our economy and our local businesses.

I am not beholden to a faction, a political party or any vested interest. I don’t seek the spoils of power and am not driven by personal ambition.

My vote will always be Independent, and will be based on the interests and values of our community.

The Northern Beaches has a proud history of Independent representation in the State and Federal parliaments in Dr Peter MacDonald, David Barr, Zali Steggall and Dr Sophie Scamps, as well as Council being led by Michael Regan’s OG group of independents, Your Northern Beaches Independent Team of which I am a member.

Please
join our volunteer team or donate to support my campaign to keep the council strong, run by caring local professionals and Independent.
